God's Promise

Sorry it has been so long since we have posted a picture! We are finally starting to feel settled here in Omaha. I know where two Wal-Marts are so I guess that is all I need(haha).

Tonight we were at my aunt's house and a beautiful double rainbow appeared over her house. The last time I saw a double rainbow was at church camp when I was about 15 or 16. I remember we were walking down the big hill to the multi purpose building after worship, when it appeared. The irony of the whole thing was that the worship service was about Noah and the Ark. It was one of those moments when you felt like God was really SPEAKING to you. Everyone was silent as we walked down the big hill.

I felt the same way tonight. I don't know if you take this verse literally but I certainly do. Genesis 9:16 says, "Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."

I saw a double rainbow the other day for the first time in a long time. At one point, they were both very vivid. God is amazing! I am glad you are doing well. Look forward to pictures of the house!

We saw lots of rainbows and double rainbows while we were living in Omaha! Not so many out here in California... And I miss the wonderful thunderstorms, too.

Enjoy!

That story about the rainbows made me have chills all over, what wonderful memories that we had a church camp! I remember one time in worship we were singing a song that had the words "Let you rain fall on me" right when we sang those words it started pouring raining! I think mine along with everyone else was covered with chills! The lord was working that day!
